ready set go-cart!

Sunday afternoon was very relaxing. We had been to church which was absolutely amazing and then had a church luncheon. LOTS of wonderful food and desserts.

Well, Tyler got to a point where he couldn't sit and relax anymore. Zack (neighbor and his best bud) came over and they decided to haul out the go-cart and clean it up and take it for a ride.

The hubby had been outside for a while so I decided to go out and check on my guys to find this...
Apparently the go-cart had a bit of a gas leak. While he was working on it the boys were very calm and patient... even though they were chompin' at the bit waiting to take off...
Oscar was being patient too... his ears have a mind of their own.
After what I'm sure felt like a lifetime, they were off!! They are about to take off in this picture. You can tell that Tyler is calling to Jill (Zack's lovely mama) "Hey, Jill!!!! Watch this!!!"

Missy girl wanted a ride, but she was told no. (check out her smokin' figure after just having a baby!!!)
As you can see, the dogs got a great workout chasing the boys... they all had a blast!!!! It was a lot of fun to watch.

beautiful visitor

While toiling away at work today, Ashlea and Audra came to visit!! They actually came to visit Christie, but I jumped right into the mix!!
I just so happened to have had my camera, as always, and I snapped some adorable shots of Miss Audra Claire.
Isn't she lovely....

I know her grammy, Michelle, will totally snatch these pics. :)

numero dos!

On day two, we started off by going to the Titanic museum. This museum was amazing and had real artifacts from the Titanic. We got to touch an iceberg and feel how cold the water was on the night that the ship sank. It was really neat to see all of the things but also very heartbreaking. So many people lost their lives and it was such a tragedy. I cannot begin to tell you all the things we saw in the museum... everything from breakfast, lunch and dinner menus to the way the fist, second and third class cabins looked. Letters, quotes, jewelry... you cannot imagine!!

Here is the best whole pic I got of the museum. The museum was a huge "boat"!

Yes, that is a sign that says "no cameras"!! I was so bummed but they said that copyright laws would not allow them. :( Boo
After we left the museum we ate lunch at Montana Mikes Steakhouse. It was a wonderful meal for a really great price!!

Then we were off to the death trap... I mean the helicopter ride...
I was nervous about riding for the first time but I did rather well!! Don't ask hubby about this, he has an imitation of me riding the chopper. He's so far off!!!

Here is the aforementioned "death trap"

The hubby with his headset on.
Tyler with his headset on... how cute is he?!?!
What a view!! If for nothing else, I'm glad I rode just for this!

So after surviving the ride, whew!... we were off to "Legends, in concert". It was a great show with impersonators. Little Richard, Alan Jackson, The Blues Brothers, Brittany Spears????, and Elvis. I'm still not sure how Brittany Spears is considered a legend but anywho... We had a great time!!

"Little Richard" ... this guy was great!!!
"Little Richard" came into the audience and Tyler was lucky enough to be sitting on the aisle seat. Of course his slushee was grabbed up and talked about. He was very embarrassed but we loved it!!!

Here is "Alan Jackson". He did a wonderful job!! Looked and sounded just like him!
You'll have to pardon the quality of the pictures. I had only had my camera for 2 days and hadn't figured out much as far as the settings go.

The "Blues Brothers"
These guys were not still long enough for me to get a shot that was not totally blurry. Still figuring out settings at this point.

I took one pic of "Brittany"...
"Elvis"... this guy was great!!! He had amazing energy and was a real crowd pleaser!!

After the concert/show we were off to the "Ducks"!!! If you don't know about the ducks, they are land to water vehicles. They were actually used in combat. They are really cool and I had never been on one. Would you believe that I didn't get a single shot of a duck??? I did manage to get the following and in addition I got some great views!!

My guys and their "quackers"

After splashing into Tablerock Lake... Poor bub got all wet!!
The driver let the kiddos take turns "driving" while on the lake. (She had to kiss Tyler)
The view was great... these pics do not do it justice!

After the ducks we went back to the lodge and went for a dip in the pool and then ordered pizza. After relaxing a bit we headed out to play putt-putt. All in all it was a great day!!!!

random

Time has not allowed me to post for a few days but I'm back!!
This is totally random, sort of catch-up post.

1. Missy (our dog) only gave birth to one pup!! He looks just like his dad too. So strange. Very cute and mama is VERY protective of her baby. She did take it upon herself to spend some time out of the puppy box last night and caught up on some lovin' from mama and daddy. She is still very sweet unless we mess too much with the box. She doesn't like that at all! Tomorrow the puppy will be 1 week old!!

2. We (as a church) lost our pastor a few months back. I do not need to go into any detail on that. Just please pray for us. Our elders have been praying and seeking God's direction on a new pastor. We have a pastor coming this Sunday to preach for us then have a fellowship lunch and after that a time of question and answer with him. We are so excited to meet him and his family and while we hope he is the one that God has in store for our small church, we seek God's will above our own. This has been a trying and very hurtful time for us as a church family but we believe that God is going to be glorified in this situation. Please pray for our church, elders and our new pastor (whoever he may be).

Romans 8:28-30 (English Standard Version)

28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

3. I love praise and worship time on Sunday mornings. This past Sunday was amazing. One of our families in the church lead us in our praise and worship time and I had mentioned to Aimee (the lady) that I loved the song Hosanna and it really spoke to my spirit. I told her, since she has an awesome voice, that I wanted her to sing it. Well, they practiced it and we sang it together on Sunday morning. There is one part of the song that I just adore. Here are the words:

"Heal my heart and make it clean.
Open up my eyes to the things unseen.
Show me how to love like You have loved me.

Break my heart for what breaks Yours.
Everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause.
As I walk from Earth into eternity."

4. I live in a small-ish town in southern Oklahoma (for those who don't know) and we are without a Starbucks here. I have learned to improvise!! I took myself to the store and bough the coffee house creamer, caramel macchiato flavor and whipped cream. Coffee at work is free, well free to the employees, so I fill my favorite mug with coffee, add the creamer and put the whipped cream on top and viola!!! An "almost" caramel macchiato just like you can find at Starbucks! Super yummy and since you use your favorite mug, there is no trash! Even better for the environment =)

5. I cut bangs. I had bangs, kinda... but now they are shorter. I was not so sure of them at first but now I'm totally loving the look!!

I certainly hope you are all well. I have more to post as far as birthday celebrations and vacation goes. Just be patient.
